This amusing story takes us into the world of Mr. Round and Mr.Square, where each has built their own world and different perspective. The two disagree on everything until the right opportunity comes for them to agree that they are different and to enjoy it-because differences don’t ruin friendships.
This story raises an important question for us as parents: How can we support our child in developing their own opinion? First, we must agree that it’s necessary to have differences of opinion with ourchild and encourage them to express their unique viewpoint by asking questions that prompt them to share their opinions and giving them proper attention. We should listen and engage with them, sharing our views about their positions using phrases like: I like your opinion, I hadn’t thought of that before, we can examine that together, and so on.
