Dear Parents,

How does our child handle new experiences? Do they feel tense and afraid? Do they need time to adjust to new situations? The little frog finds himself in an unfamiliar environment, feeling anxious and wary of everynew sound, and experiencing difficult moments. However, he gathers his strength and courage to return to his familiar place, finding comfort beside his father before falling into a deep sleep.

Our child’s life is full of new experiences: going to preschool, learning to ride a bike, dressing independently, going to the store, and more. Some are easy while others pose difficult challenges, but they are all important experiences for our child as they develop various skills and increase their awareness of their abilities and potential. However, some of these experiences may create feelings of anxiety and fear, requiring courage and initiative to explore. The narrator/listening child was the supporting hand for the frog. Through simple and reassuring explanation, they clarified the source of the noise and eased the frog’s fears, enabling the little frog to return home. Knowledge is power and can reduce anxiety and fear.

Let’s hold our anxious child’s hand, explain and help them understand their surroundings to feel secure. Let us, as parents, be the safe shore they need after all these experiences to gather strength, recharge, and build courage for the next adventure.
